well ive been doing coral for a while mostly your everyday, zoas, palys, softies, lps and maybe a few low/high sps like birdsnest and some turbinaria, but of my tanks are under pc lighting and am interested in going into t5s but none are for smaller tanks below 10gals so im aiming for 10 or 15 gal.

Don't let anyone convince you to go larger! This forum is full of big-tank fans. www.nano-reef.com will have tons of info for you.

Although T5's run relatively cool, you're still going to have temperature fluctuation issues because of the low water volume, as I'm sure you're aware. So sps are going to be tricky. Keeping that in mind, Id be careful to choose a light with fans for sure.

I'm not sure you'd need a protein skimmer as long as you kept up with weekly water changes. Plus many softies reportedly benefit from "dirtier" water.
