How reef safe are tiger tail cucumbers? Ive heard they can kill an entire tank if they "expel there guts", but after many reading on Wetweb and all over "they" seem to say that the chance is slim in a stable setup. I have a 75, can i add one?

I had one and it split twice. Now I have 3 in my 72 gallon. In my opinion these are reef safe and one of the best detritus eaters out there. They keep the sand nice and white.

im just concerned about him poisoning my tank. Iv somehow caught all 10 of my hermits, and i plan on getting six mythrax tomorrow. are these safe? I will also have bubble coral, and i knew hermits may pick at and kill them. will mythrax do the same?

I have had 2 cukes in my 75 gal reef for 1 & 1/2 years now w/no problems. They mostly stay in the sand but before the lights come on I'll see them on the lower portion of the glass. I also have about 4-5 emeralds & have not seen them pick at anything except for algae. The cukes don't stir up the sand like my engineer gobies or jawfish either. I have 2 koralia #4's. These p/hs have a fish guard to prevent any critters from being sucked up.
