TM low ALK reading

I recently checked ALK with Hanna checker using TM pro salt @ 1.026SG , 78degs and came up with low reading 6.9; anyone else get such a low #??

Yes, Have to dose to bring alk up everytime I make water. I keep mine at 7.8-8.2 range.

Same. Doesn't seem right TM has Alk so low

I've tried mixing the container, rolling it, shaking. Still it's always around 6.2-6.9.

I was thinking about bringing a bucket to home depot, where they have the machines that shake the tubs of paint.

Doubtful shaking will make difference

TM states their Alk is at 7.5, not close to my reading 6.9
