yes.. i found very few success stories, but i have always done well w tangs, i have a method im going to try, but the powder brown seems like a physco...

i'll see what happens, they will be in a 40 display along w a bunch of other tangs.. i have 3 yt and a purple and a des. sailfin now.. purple is the bully, but they usually get along.. this is the third purple i have in many yrs and the first to be a bully..

i will see what happens w all them.. if it works excellent, if not, well back to try again.. prob is.. very hard to cath fish in this tank

It def looks like a healed scrape. I think you'll be ok. Jawfish dont clean the sand, nor do lawnmower blennies lol. Did I read it correct that your going to put 2 more tangs in a 40 on top of 5 other tangs!!!!? You do know that the min size tank for 1 yellow tang is a 55, right? And you have 3, plus a purple and a sailfin, and now your gonna add 3 more?! Thats nuts dude. You need at least 500 gals for all those tangs!

no, the tangs are going in my 400 which has not "too much" live rock, so plenty of swimming room. we will see what happens they are in the 40g now for qt and hypo,, i hypo all my tangs, so no ich will ever appear... ( i have never had ich doing this, and you can stress them out all you want it is not always present as some falsely believe...

anyway, yes, after closer observation, they are just scrapes.... BUT YOU GUYS ARE NOT JOKING!!!!

I woke up from my bedroom, keep hearing splashing.. My tank is 30 inches high and he was trying to jump! saw him at the bottom out of breathe... so i covered the top w Styrofoam and will make the cover when i get home (to think i have had the material for over 2 months and still haven't made the cover):banghead:

Oh ok, my bad! I thought it was a 40 lol A 400 is an awesome set up for tangs:goldfish2
Good thing you heard the jawfish trying to get out! When you make the top, make sure you dont have any small holes for him to get thru. If its big enough for the fish to fit, he will get out. Good luck with him!

Next time i'll place him in qt for 1 month w normal parameters and just watch him.. I will lyk how the progress goes
