Tornado Touchdown In Westchester!!

Anyone get caught in the wild weather this afternoon? I couldnt believe my ears when i heard that a tornado touchdown in White Plains, Tarrytown and Hawthorne here in Westchester county.

It ran its course down the saw mill parkway, and as soon as i got home it was all over the news. I was only 5 mins away at work and all we got was some very heavy rain....

yeah I was watching it in the weather channel. we had some pretty crazy rain in manhattan too and its still raining a bit.

Tarrytown , Hawthorne and Sleepy Hollow with Hawthorne seemingly worst off. At least 5000 without power. RD

I work in Tarrytown about 2 miles from where the tornado hit in Hawthorne (I work right across from the Knicks and Ranger practice facility)tomorrow I want to drive by where they hit to see the damage.

House - alive and accounted for - a bit worse for the wear as that fokker dropped 4" of water in less than an hour and soaked my basement - so, just got done vac'ing up as much as I could and now and running fans and towels to soak up the difference - what a PIA.

I drove home from WHite PLains today just as that sucker ripped through the eastern side of Mount Plaesant - the Gates of Heavan Cemertary and adjacent streets were ripped apart - trees with root balls of 15' tall all over the place.

California CLosets warehouse on Hawthorne seemed to get hit the hardest - ripped the facility apart - 15 people hurt none seriously thank god.

Wild stuf man, wild - I never lost power thank god.
