yea I was thinking of donig something like that. I used a simple ATmega318 microcontroller for some PWM dimming affects. Lots of programming for the LCD screen thats for sure.

That LCD screen looks like the guts of touch screen car radios. Wonder if that is where it came from and then instead of using the memory and controls of the radio he wrote a new program and hooked up the screen to it. not to the radio but some other source

Yea I thought that was a car radio also. But it looks a little bit smaller. Hey hows the ATmega318 working for you?

It is a great so far. Im not the best with c programming but the arduino software really makes it pretty easy. Lots of example online. I have it interfaced with DS1337 RTC chip so I will be able to turn on and off the leds at different times of the day to simulate natural sunlight and moonlight affects. I will post some picture of it tonight.

In that example it looks like its a bit more involved then a simple car radio system. It looks like he made his own circuit using a PIC18F25 Microcontroller to control up to 32 different driver boards. Im assuming he is using this for PWM output. This would be a smilar setup to what im using only with a atmega chip.

ok cool. With that chip and software, can it be hookup to an aqua controller?
