Trochus Snails Spawned

Hi.

I have a 29 gallon tank with a 15 gallon sump. I have about 8 adult trochus snails in the tank that have spawned. I cant even give an accurate count of how many but in my sump alone i think i see 20 or so babies. Amazing since there is a filter sock and skimmer. I dont have a light in the sump so there isnt any algae. I'm thinking most of these little guys are going to die. I'm going to try to move some up to the display when i do a water change tomorrow. Should i be worried about the potential of a lot of baby snail deaths and water quality?

Were u present when the actual spawning happened? When it happened in my nano a few years ago it clouded my whole tank. Got scared and did a major water change. Still had dozens of babies a few months later

No, i've read about that process i'm glad i didnt see it i wouldve freaked out. I cant believe how many there are. I feel bad for these tiny babies in the sump with nothing to eat!!! I wonder how many of these snails are going to survive...
