Anyone using padding under their stand and if so what are you using?
I saw some of those puzzle type floor coverings for work space floors at Costco for dirt cheap. Says it can dampen sound, any thoughts?

We are using soundproofing (it is a rubber material) that hubby got from a job site. We put it on the concrete floor in our room. This way the ref and pumps won't be directly on the concrete. Figure it will help with some noise/vibration factor....it is about 1/8" thick.

Was thinking about putting it under the tank on the stand also but not so sure that is a good idea or something we can do.

i have a 240 gallon tank 8' x 2' x 2'.i got a 4' x 8' x 1/2" piece of styrofoam insulation from home depot that is used for exterior insulation, cut it down and put it under the tank.gives the tank a little cushion from vibrations and all that weight.any type of insulation adds to soundproofing.
