I am upgrading from my 10 gallon which is about 5 years old to a 24 gallon aquapod. I will get new sand and rock except for a little old stuff to help the cycle along. I also have a 65w pc fixture which I will use with a glass top instead of the regular cover.
Not sure what to do about the fish. I have a sixline, a spotted cardinal, a clown goby and a neon goby. I would like to add a couple more fish in the new tank but have my doubts about how the sixline will handle it. I could leave out the sixline, at least keep him separate until all the fish including new ones are in the tank. But that means I have to keep both tanks going for longer than I want. Maybe I will sell him, but (s)he is so pretty and lively.
I have mostly candycanes so that should pose no problem to move.
I f anyone has any suggestions of do's and dont's I would appreciate it. Or any info regarding the aquapod that may be helpful.

If your getting more live rock for your new tank make sure it's cured or else you would need to cycle again.

Do you what kind of new fishes you plan to get for the new tank?

Yes I will use a skimmer, hob type that I got with the tank. I want to keep the fish I have and maybe add some chalk bass and even a firefish. But I would probably have to get rid of the sixline.
