UV Filter Glass

Anyone know where I can get a piece of UV filter glass? Or if you can tell me what kind of glass it is and where I can buy...thanks, Fortunato

it's not for a lens...I want a UV glass filter to put in front of a MH bulb because I'm making a DIY MH fixture. The light is 70w DE

anyone know if any glass from home depot would get the job done? That is to block UV ray from a DE 70w MH

I believe any tempered glass will block UV. Can any one confirm?

EDIT: DE bulbs don't NEED UV glass, only SE bulbs need it.

And I could've sworn I read something that it said the opposite. DE bulbs need the UV glass and SE don't. SE bulbs are already covered in glass, it's kinda like a DE MH in a glass tube while DE bulbs is just a DE bulb lol

No, you're right. DE do need UV glass. I was just waking up and not thinking clear...
