UV sterilizer

Just wondering if anyone out there uses a UV sterilizer on there tanks. if so do you think it is effective. i do not use one was thinking of putting one on my 220 gal tank total 300 gal with sump. what size and model would work for me.

I use one on my 120 gallon water blue crystal clear it good to keep somehow algae growth to a slower pace !
