visitherm heater exploded

Oh well it's Murhpy's law today. First my via aqua titanium heater cooked my nsw to a toasty 101 and then my visitherm heater exploded in my main tank...the smell of burnt components is awesome.

Will post some pics soon. Thank goodness I was home. My gfi thank goodness went off and I'm glad I was able to plug in the one good heater.

Well my trusty eheim still works so at least I have one heater going. Will never buy a visitherm again....but heaters are prone to fail and I am also replacing the eheim that I currently have in my tank.

Yeah. I'm having one come over on Friday but it was the heater that tripped the gfi...

Visitherm sucks. I've had 3 since i started and each cracked or just stopped working.
I have an eheim if you need to borrow one.

Perry: Thanks....I may need to borrow one until I get new ones by the end of the week....maybe I can swing by tomorrow...but I think I should be ok with one 250w heater.
