Vortech Pump vortex guard

I remember seeing a long time ago some sort of spacer made of acrylic that kind of closed the top of the wet part grill to stop the pump from sucking air and creating the suction vortex.
When i say spacer, it is becuase you place it between the dry and wet side, and the piece has some sort of "hood" that blocks the suction flow from the surface.
The purpose is to allow placement of the pump higher, closer to the surface avoiding it to suck air...anyone knows what i am talking about?
I needed that so bad, the ideal spot i have for the pump is close to the top and i need to have it at 80% power there so without this part it will suck air for sure...
Anyone that can help will be very appreciated!

I've seen the acrylic shields or shrouds for the smaller MP10 but not for it's brethren the 40:

Thats it....what a good idea, but none for an MP40...that is strange, because should work the same way...i guess ill have to place the pump elsewhere...

Theres a company that makes a frag rack that goes around it too and that might help as well. Not sure the name but it was on reefbuilders a few weeks ago.
