want to upgrade the skimmer

i have a tenecor 90 gallon with a red sea berlin 90 skimmer in the available slot provided for it. my problem is this i realy like how everything is contained in the tank without the need for cluttering up the bottom of the cabinet (it has enough stuff in it already) but i need something good with a 4*5 footprint to hopefully overskim the tank. also is venturi or airstone better cause i am changing airstones almost every three weeks. last question is the tank canopy is made of a fibreboard material and is flaking apart. what kind of paint or sealant can i use to that wont be toxic to the system to stop the flaking and absorbtion of moisture. i seriously doubt your skimmer is good enough for your 90 gal tank, i don't think it's even good enough for a fish only tank

look into the etss sump buddy 40 or a good hob skimmer

If it's not broken don't fix it.There are laquers at home depot that could help with your canopy you might want to use this out side it has a very strong smell and turn off your skimmer untill it's fully dryed.

thanks all, unfortunately the sump buddy has a 4*7 footprint and i only have 4*4*27 1/2. any other recommendations out there?
