my 45 gallons tank is cycling for 6 weeks. here are what i have now:
1. Eihem 1260 pump
2. Two maxijet 1200 power head
3. One protein skimmer
4. A Sump
5. 45 lbs of live rock
6. 60 lbs of live sand

my question is: the overflow is making too much noise (i already have a stockman standpipe) if i maximize the "return pump" (about 650 gph). So in installed a ball valve and control the return water to almost half (about 300 gph) o. Is it ok or too low for the return water flow?

Thanks

The reason that i ask is the there was a recommedation that the flow should be 10+ times the size of the tank. that mean i should have a minimum of 450 gph. Now i only have 300 gph. I am concerned very concerned ...
Should i stop concern?... I need more oppinions please

Thanks

It will be fine

You are looking for whatever amount of flow "in the tank" you have powerheads up there I see, you have to add them into your flow number too.
