Im thinking about putting in a lion fish in my 55 Gallon Tank instead of Buying a new Tank. However I have several Groupers and a snowflake eel in there.Used to have one but died and was wondering if anything other then water changes can reduce ammonia spikes.Im looking for something that works and not something that is Garbage. It is a Fish Tank only no live rock 75 Gallon wet Dry Filter on it any advice.

First, ditch the wet dry filter, get a decent cannister filter or skimmer.
Second, how big are the groupers and eel?
On top of that groupers and eels are messy eaters.
Depending on their size those three animals may be all that your 55 gal tank can safely support.
I would not recommend that you try to cure your ammonia problem with chemicals.
