What is this--anemone???

This small anemone looking thing popped up in my tank and has since split into two. Are they good/bad??

Looks like aiptasia but I cant tell to well from the angle.

Looks that way to me. I'd kill it ASAP. Joe's Juice or hot kalkwasser should do the trick for a single specimen, unless you can get your hands on 50% NaOH or HCL.

Thanks for the advice guys. I made some kalk paste and then heated it in the microwave until it boiled. I used a syringe with a small sharp tip(from salifert kit) and injected the paste right in the mouths. They instantly dissapeared, almost vaporized! It was pretty cool, hopefully they wont come back!

Keep an eye of the spot where they were, if a part of the foot remains they can regenerate.

Yeah, you might want to "carpet bomb" the area with a kalk paste. I like to use iodine or providone to kill these guys, however every now and then I see an itty bitty baby, I kill it asap however who knows if the iodine actually kills the regeneration part of it.

I take the pink colored epoxy and slather it all over the area post-nuking by kalk paste. It seems to stop any regrowth.
