What to run in a reactor

I just got an innovative marine minimax media reactor for my 16 gallon (along with the ghost protein skimmer).

Should I just run GFO and Carbon mixed together or is something else better (such as biopellets or NP-Active pearls)?

Depends on why you would need to.

What is your NO3 & PO4?

If they are good, maybe just Carbon.

You may not need gfo / pellets as you can change water easier than changing/ chasing numbers to keep your parameters in check.

All depends on bio load, nutrient import / export methods etc.
