Could it be loaded with nitrosococcus and nitrococcus bacteria? If so, can I add it to my quarantine tank to reduce ammonia and nitrite?

I would guess that adding organics to a system would not redice ammonia, but rather feed ammonia to the system. If you were looking to feed amonia to bacteria to maintain a culture in your quarantine tank then that makes some sense to me. Somewhat equivalent to keeping a fish in the quarantine tank. But I wouldn't add much and you would need to feed continuously. Why not just feed a few flakes of food regularly. I think you'd accomplish the same thing.
