Which salt mix do you use for your reef?

Instant Ocean because its one of the cheapest, but I do add some calcium

IO because its one of the cheapest AND it allows me to dose up to where I want with a better refined, more controlled 3 part system - B-Ionic.

I get great growth and health.

i used red sea pro for 2 yr's liked it because cal mag and alk where higher n mix batch, switched to the deltec pro and measures 440 on cal 1350 on mag and dkh is 9 it is more money but save basically the difference in dosing

I did instant ocean but it basically just plain salt and with it I had to dose a lot more.
I did Oceanic and I have to say it is a great Salt but mixing it is where it falls short and also storage the lid is not the screw on type but the snap on and if your not doing alot of water changes it will clump up.

So I know stick with Reef crystals it is the best of both worlds it has enough additives to give decent growth and it mixes well and like some people have said and it is true it is the same company as Instant ocean but with the additives.

I switched to Reef crystals because it was only a dollar more per bucket than IO. I am now adding less calcium and magnesium for water changes.

hard to find the Deltec salt, no?

i use Seachem's Reef Salt currently

Been using Oceanic since day one. High Ca (450), Mg (1350-1400) but light on the Alk 7-8. Mixes almost instantly. Good growth and health. It ain't broke............
