If you can fit the Tunze in your budget ALWAYS go with the Tunze. The 6000 is a great choice because you can upgrade it to a 6100 very easily and cheaply just by buying the tranformer (hockey puck looking thing)

Some may say that the 6000 is too strong in flow, but even without a controller you can turn that thing down to 30% of its capacity.

Maxijets are well - you get what you pay for :D

What I would recommend you do is go to the Tunze forum on RC. Ask the Tunze guys themselves. They will tell you that its plenty even for SPS. Why would they say that if it is in their best interest for us to buy bigger and more.

The fact is that most of us are whores when it comes to flow. At times too much. The maxijet, unless you modify it will not do too much. The maxijet however would be good to "sweep" the detritus to a certain section of a tank.

To answer your question: Yes it will be enough.

I used to run a Tunze 6000 on my 55. It makes great flow, but it's Laminer flow. I found my corals to be much happier with two maxijets mounted on the top one on each side pointed at each other. You just can't get random turbulant flow with only one powerhead, even a Tunze with a controller. You best bet may be to use a SCWD on your eheim return, or some nicely placed locline returns along with some maxijets pointed at each other.
