after I disconnected my chiller I flushed with RODI water and vinegar from a 5 gallon bucket and a pump I ran through the chiller for 10 minutes. Then used a compressor to blow the chiller lines out.....

Agreed, leave it on. Flush with vinegar overnight once a year or so, keep innards clean from dust, and leave the pump that runs it on so the water inside it doesn't get stagnant, done.

10 minutes is no where near enough time to melt away the calcium that builds up over time. And be careful blowing out the lines that aren't designed to handle hi psi that you could be blowing in with the compressor
