sounds to me like a stray current since you used the same salt,same source of water and same container to do all the tanks. i would look real hard at all the electrical devises used in that tank. the fish all got zapped and couldnt handle it but the corals recovered with little damage

do you have a sand bed and was it disturbed during the water change?
i have personally seen my tough as nail fiji blue devil damsel died almost instantly when i poured the water in too quickly and mucked up the sand bed in a 15 gal. nano. two gobies, a coral banded shrimp, hermits, snails, corals (only softies) all survived.....just the damsel that was near the muck who bit it.
