Ok gang, my wrasse jumped into my overflow, and I can't seem to get him out. I was thinking of pulling the standpipe and letting gravity do its thing. I would just have a net at the other end of my drain hose. Any ideas? Is this a good idea? Also what should I do to prevent dumb @ss from doing it again.

thanks in advance

My wrasse got in there three times. I shut the system off so i can see down into the overflow and i got him out with a net. I used a chopstick beleive it or not to manuver him towards the net and I scooped him out. I saw somewhere here in the forums where they made a cover for the top of the overflow.

when that happened on my nano i got a pseudochromis out by putting a chunk of food in a brine shrimp net and waiting for him to swim in. not sure if you can get a wrasse that way.

Ok, I got him. He got sucked up without having to do anything, and got caught in my filter sock. My solution was to cut a piece of egg crate and place it over the top (cutting out space for the standpipe and return pipe. I think that should do the trick and bounce him back into the water if he decides to jump again. Will keep posted if it works.
