Looking to buy a stand with the above footprint, preferably on the taller side. I am looking to purchase the Deep Blue 30G RR frag tank. It has a corner overflow so the stand should account for that.

The stand that comes with the tank is 30" high - with the shallow tank on top, it won't come up very high. I was thinking about 42"-48" for the stand. Should be solid wood - I will take care of any painting/staining. An over-built stand would be ideal since I live in an apartment and can't afford a falling tank :)

I did the same, using Youtube, and build this 24"x24" stand, which is about 33" high. The wood and nails cost me about $30 and the siding to close it(Not shown in the picture) cost about $15. The stain and waterpoofer was another $25. I made the stand extra strong by adding another post on each side. It was pretty easy to do, just make sure you have a drill to screw in all the screws.
