I know that I can buy it on ebay, but I would rather give my money to the local guy rather than the ebay.

this is what i did. i can explain it better if you want. it takes time, but is dead silent and does as good if not better then the mesh mod, did it also

NY, will that idea work on other impellers?

My impeller has the fins coming out of the central shaft, not up like the your pump.

i hear great results from the flat back enkemats,i believe premium aquatics sell sheets of it.....maybe we can get a few of us to chip in and split the sheet....im down for a portion...
