WTB: Maltese puppy!

My wife wants to buy a Maltese puppy for daughter Zoe. Anyone knows any breeders, family, neighbor, or friends who might be selling...LMK.

Dam there expensive! Funny my wife never wanted to have a dog!

Why not adopt? Just a question. Because I'm looking for mini shnauzer myself and was thinking about adoption. I also have 2 babies 3yrs And 2yrs . Wow I guess they're not babies anymore

if they went through abuse, or neglect, its very difficult for them to rehibilitate. and might hurt children,

yes very true but if it's a young pup the chances of that are slim..you can always bring your kids with you and see how the dog reacts while in it's cage..if it's tries to attack etc..DON'T GET IT :duh: You have nothing to lose by checking some places out. Every dog up for adoption isn't an abuse case. People have dogs who have puppies and can't keep 6 dogs..sometimes they escape, sometimes the owner passes away or moves or just can't take care of the dog anymore. There is lots of reasons why an animal could be in a shelter.

DrCooper, thanks for the information, finding a maltese puppy for adoption not that easy. This is going to be a Birthday gift for my daughter, we want to get her a purebred, akc pup about 8-12 weeks. So we've decided to paid the $750 ...Thanks ALL.

Please do not buy one from a pet store or back yard breeders (BYB). Try to find a reputable breeder. Good luck with the puppy.

You can try North Shore animal league on a certain day, there is a load of puppies comming in. I think is a tuesday. Call and see.

Thanks will do! I was a a pet store in CT, this pass Sunday...and they had many different types of pups. I see what you mean about the care. It seem the best route is a Maltese breeder.

DrCooper, and ALL who have given great advice here, well appreciate. After careful research, I found that buying from a breeder, that breed only one specific breed in there homes, treat there dog or puppies with care and love. Yes, probably pay a premium for a good breed, bloodline, healthy, good living enviroment and AKC.

Anyway, we change breed, we went with a Shihtzu AKC only $450 8 weeks..we are picking the puppy tomorrow for my Zoe.

Here is the new addition to the family! He's a Shih Tzus..named Da Vinchi Valentino
