Hi.

A week ago my xenia got a small bubble at its base, I thought it was temporal but then it got another and another and today it looks like it had a bubble coral at its base 8O , the xenia is pulsating, the polyps look great and still growing, what it coul be?

Parameters are ok.

Thanks.

Without a picture it is difficult to tell, but if I had to guess I would say it is budding off...reproducing ...making more colonies.

I also have some of these and they can do this. Not so sure what you are considering bubbles as in size and all. Lets see some pics.

Thanks for your replies.

I have seen when they are budding off and it looks different, is not a solid piece of tissue, the bubbles are not solid they look like a small "green bubble coral" but pink. the bubbles look like small ballons filled with water.

I will try to post a picture soon.

Thanks.
