These are for the black ones ,,,they are about 1/2" or less ,,,i have them in my tank for over 2 years and they havent grown a bit since i got them ...they are also about 1/2"

Do the black ones bury themselves in the sand the way the white ones do?

Not in My experience they stay out and don't really do much of anything.

i've heard the black one are very good. but i guess it's like anything else. sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't.

your snails might not like your sand lol,,I have about 100 of themin my tank ,they do wonders ,but they come out more at nite ,and when you fed the tank ,
Oh yeah , they do live in the sand
