The regular swc 160 is a very nice skimmer, didn't get to try the cone.

I believe the Reef Octo xs160 has a 1" wider footprint. That won't work for me

Same here...the swc 160 cone is 9x7 footprint and im struggling with that size

Yeah, the 7" width is what is drawing me to the SWC160. My concerns with it are the modified meshwheel impeller getting easily clogged and I've heard that the Atman pump that it comes with has issues with restarting if it's turned off. Possibly a problem caused by that impeller.

I would go then with eshopps 120 the have a much better pump !! I have seen it at work !!
