your better off ordering a brand new one bud. Its not that you don't trust anyone but you always want to make sure that your getting the correct reading and that there is nothing wrong with it.

I have one for free. It's a sybon. Some rust but still works. If you ever come towards NJ or westcheater.

You need a refractometer for salinity. Brix is a measurement of sugar content, salinity is a measurement of salt content.

spend the money and get the vital sine, lol it is alot more $ but the best one out and actually made for sg. do a google search. also boomer had a post in reguards to this. also make sure to order calibration fluid
