Go with a new one. Once you pay for a used one, then pay to replace all the filters or other parts you'll be saving only $20 or so. There are some one reef websites (BRS, other) that start at $149. $199 gets you even more with a TDS.

+1 I keep telling people to get the BRS water saver 150 GPD value system. I recently got it and its worth every penny and more. I get a 1:1 waste to good water which is incredible compared to what some other units put out. Will save tons of money in the long run with this ratio.
