WTB NanoCube 24DX Hood or Ballast

I just got a nanocube from someone but the hood isn't functioning. He says it needs a new transformer which leads me to believe he isn't sure what he is talking about. I'm thinking it needs a new ballast since it's not connected to one. If anyone has one or even a full hood they aren't using let me know please.
Edit: I have the 2 36w CF hood right now.
