Where to buy Mp40w Power Supply - Fast?

Hey guys... Came home tonight to find my mp40w not working. The light was barely on and when I moved some wires to ensure everything was plugged in correctly I heard a buzzing sound from the mp40w power supply. I disconnected the mp40w power supply and did a quick check only to find that one of the connections in a cannister filter (yes I'm running a cannister filters, with much success I must add) was lose and some water had sprayed on the power supply of the mp40w. I corrected the problem to my cannister filter and thank God the leak wasn't worse than it was.

Anyhow, i made sure the mp40w power supply was dry and tried connecting it again but it's not working. Does anyone know where I can buy a power supply for an mp40w? Or does anyone have one to sell to me? I would like one ASAP as there is not much circulation in my tank otherwise. Any help would be greatly appreciated. :frown:

Nothing local? If i ordered from them best case scenerio would be that I got it on Tuesday, not sure I can wait that long..

You have any spare pumps laying around that you use to mix water with?

The tank will be perfectly fine with the minimal circulation that your canisters are giving if your feeding your tank with oxygen some way like a skimmer, overflow, or something churning water and air. If your worried it shouldn't be that the coral aren't getting flow, its that you don't have some way to add oxygen to your tank. If its flow your worried about, order one and wait till tuesday, you'll be fine for three days. If its oxygen, stuff would have shown that that was the problem, just put any type of pump to blow and break the surface of the water to add some oxygen.

I have a couple of cannisters that provide minimal flow, and a skimmer, and hob fuge, and a korallia 3 facing the back wall, but the main flow comes from the mp40.. There are a few corals that need a lot of flow, they're what worries me..

I don't think two days will bother your corals. If you feel like it, grab the turkey baster and create some manual flow whenever you walk by the tank.

You could PM a few vendors here and see if they have a spare PS for sale.

i should have an extra one you can borrow. i think the only place you can get a replacement power supply is from ecotech for a price of course. last year i paid $50 bucks for power supply after saltwater damage

Oh wow, that much? Damn.. I thought it'd be like 20-25$. ecvernon, i'd appreciate it if you could lend it to me for a couple of days until I can get one in.. someone else says they may have an extra one they can sell me, if that doesn't come through can I trouble you?

I just order a power adapter from Ecotech for my MP40W...looks like the same as your power adapter for your laptop....LOL

ive searched those and could find one to the exact power requirements cause i have drivers for mp40's but have mp20's and was going to upgrade, spend the money for the correct one's. better then burning out ur mp

I did NYReefNoob.. its from an mp40, but is the same as an mp40w, so works well.. good advice tho..
