Yes it does work on the ES model.

I have one but can't find the ac adapter and only one OUT cable. FYI there was a recall on the cables due to possible short with MP40s.

That is correct about the cable recall. At Saltwater Critters we do have a limited supply of the new cable. They are free for everyone. Those who purchased their battery backups from us will get priority if we begin to run out of the new cable. We'll help everyone else out as best we can with the supply we have. If we can't accommodate those who purchased their backups elsewhere, because we ran out, EcoTech Marine will definitely replace your cable direct.

Yes, the new cable has a fuse built into the cord. If your battery backup cable does not have the fuse, it is old and part of the recall.
