I was wondering if someone could suggest where to get a new tank? I was looking for a 36 Gal Bowfront and I wanted to get it drilled with an overflow and closed loop. I would rather buy it from someone who can drill it in house rather than me taking it someplace else because no one will take responsibility if they break it. But if this is the only way, is petland discounts the cheapest option?

Go to Pat (Aquarium Solutions) He's easier to deal with and has better prices than Sean (Aquatic creations) or Sal(Ny Aquaria)

Petland discounts is very expensive for their tanks.....I wouldn't but it there.

Thats wierd, I have always found for AGA tanks that no one could even come close to their prices (like 71.95 for a 26 gal bow) If Pat can better those prices then great, I'll be heading down there soon.

World Class makes their own tanks, or they did when I live around there, so you should be able to get a good deal and actually get a tank that is shape different then you would normal get. Bottom line is like Albert said to shop around and get an idea of what things cost and then try and make a deal with someone. It's better to have alot of different sources than just one or two.

36G BF are expensive though relatively speaking...you pay for that arch in the glass, and dearly...i busted my 1st 36G and i had to pay up another $100 for a new one...plus i could find one anywhere but a NJ petland in the middle of the ghetto..lol

I'm not hell bent on getting a bowfront, I just like the proportions of the BF tanks, they are a little deeper front to back than the average tank which is nice given the fore shortening effect you get looking though the water.
I might also look at a custom 30"L x 20"H x 15"D.
