Well I finally got my custom cabinet done by my grandfather who has his own custom cabinetry shop in Pelham, Ny....Here are the pics (not painted yet or with the custom handles installed) ....

I am thinking maybe i can get a canopy made as well....:thrash:

Yeah its an iron stand, I am trying to clean it up now and make it look like a custom piece, the cabinet is actually like a shadow box with the frame and hinges behind the doors, the amazing thing is its very thin and fits snug on the inside lip of the stand....will post progression pics as it comes along....:spin:

Chris, very nice idea. The only potential issue I see is that wood and metal expand and contract at different rates. This can cause your panels to warp and/or wrack. Over time you might find that your doors don't sit closed so perfectly anymore.

Your tank looks real nice. I'd like to see some FTS's.
