There are 2 red and 2 white wires to be connected. There are two main wires(bundles) each with a red, white, and green. Rich told me the green is not to be used. Just one red and one white to each socket. That sound right to you?
From the way that looks its is supposed to be both red wires to one cap and both blue (Rich says white) to the other cap.
The green wire is a ground wire.It should be used unless the outlet cord only has 2 wires and not three. Technically your are supposed to ground any electrical appliance especially when near any water environment. (Now that I got the flames off of my back)
That sounds like you are on the right track. ALso the VHO bulb should be more than 3" away from a direct heat source (AKA Halide lamp)
Let me sound like a Star Trek episode ... The extreme heat from the point source will cause the gases in the lamp to fall out of correct stasis and not ignite uniformly causing premature burnout of said lamp....

LoL. Good on Kasei. I have colors that have color.
I'm so happy. Me and my dad worked hard and we got the job done. Rich thanks again for the ballast and bulbs, that one bulb makes a BIGG difference. The tank has a very nice color. No more yellow white. Thanks everyone for helping me with the wiring.
