For those running 400W PFO HQI ballast

Wondering what you use to control the lighting? Seems to be drawing too much current for the aquacontroller with the DC8. May be using X-10 heavy duty modules or regular timers?

Either way they will be plugged into a separate 20A outlet. Just worry that the x-10 module may not be able to handle the current.

power strips if they have ANY kind of power conditioning they will destroy the X10 signal. only the absolute cheapest power strips work with X10. (no filtering at all and only a circuit breaker in them) Most of the time removal of the X10 devices from a power strip and plugging them into the wall solves this problem.



most of the x-10 modules are 15amps so as long as your not trying to fire up 4 or more 400 watt bulbs you shouldn't run into any problems. I usually give each ballst its own x-10.

Are they brand new, the heavy duty appliance modules. Each ballast will be controlled by a separate x-10 module. So I need only 2. I already have some lamp modules left over for home automation.

As Sean stated, if you are running each ballast on it's own module you shouldn't have any issues.

Cali-It has the power supply if thats what your asking. It comes with everything in the box except t P.H. probe and the Temp. Probe.

Is the interface $5 or the telephone line connector? And does the interface comes with the telephone line connector?
