I just set up a new router it is the Apple airport extreme and I have now clue on how to set up port forwarding on it so I can access my apex outside the house. I am just asking for some help in the right direction. Thank you in advance.
can just set the Apex with a static IP (instead of DHCP) on your local network. then on the router, set that same IP as the DMZ host. you should then be able to browse to your external IP to access your apex unit.
you can also use dyndns to get a name like yourname.dyndns.info to navigate to instead of having to remember your IP address. just need to make sure when your external ISP IP changes, to update your dyndns account. i find this easier than having to remember new IP's every time you get a new one from the ISP.
