I had this problem for a while...
just finish testing

all test with salifert if not noted
MG 1350
KH 83
CA 400
Nitate 0
phosphate 0
PH 8.00 Aqua controller

just clean out my sump and a 40g water change over this week..

skimmer euro reef 8-2
2 6000 stream tunze 7095 controller
return pump T4 (1200 gph)
Just hook back up CA reator precision marine
Kalk reactor top off (precision marine)

blubs 2 250 MH 10k ushio 4 vho actinic

this is it ...the diatom come in the tank long after the lights goes off ..i only see a trace in the morning after the lights comes on it get plenty and bout 5 hours after the lights on it disappear..

help..

PS i just took out my micro aglea but the problem but the problem with still there with it..

How is your feeding schedule and your clean up crews?

If it is like you say that it just happens at night, but then is cleaned up by morning, I don't think it's quite a problem. Have you tried leaving your tank lights on longer? it would give the diatoms less time in the dark.

i feed every other day it's still there in the morning...my lights comes on at 12:30 pm and goes off at 12 am..it's on a season table so it varies
