Trying to get some decent flow -

Currently I just have my return & 2 Maxi-jet 1200 pumps as flow..
It's kinda strong & had to adjust the angle of the pumps so the South down doesn't get kicked up.
Would also like to break it up, so it isn't just straight flow.

I'm thinking of a external closed loop run by a Mag 7 with a SCWD (my tank isn't drilled)
or-
2 or 3 Maxi-jets (1200 or 900) with a Red Sea wavemaster

I am also installing a Sea Swirl on my return.

Any good suggestions?

My tank is a 46 Bow..

Thanks in advance.

How much flow is prduced by your return flow? If you're installing a SeaSwirl with enough return flow, I don't see why you'd need MJs on a wavemaster. Also, what corals are you ultimately going to keep? That will help with your decision.
