No More B-ionic For Me!!!

got an email from Tony over at reef exotics today my calcium reactor is in.
I plan on picking it up tomorrow!

when I had my 65 gal reef B-Ionic was fine I didnt have many SPS corals and the need for calcium was nearly as demanding as my 180. it's gotten t the point I'm adding 12 OZ of each part daily !
It gets expensive!

been buying gallons at a time just mixed up some Kalkwasser to hold me till I get the CR up and running.
with the 65 gal tank it wasnt a problem 180 is a different story

I`ve been using Randy`s homemade two part. Dosing is done by a Sentry dual channel pump. Costs 69 cents to make 1 gal of Alk, and less to make the Calcium part. My 210 reef takes about half a gallon a week of each part. So far, I`m very happy with this setup.

You should have bought the 2x 5 gallon pail kit from Champion lighting... it last me like a year fer 50.00 chances are you would need 3 of them a year.

I have seen others for more & less money, just wondering what is the best option?

frogman, mind if i ask you how much did the CR set you back? is it the complete setup or you still need to buy extra equipment? dual chamber? etc.. I want to know more..

I bought the MRC CR5 w/ spray bar up grade it was 575.00
all I need to get is the CO2 tank and a powerhead to feed the reactor.
I bought mine through reef exotics
Tony knows alot more about the specs than I do.

I purchased the pump from Reefdosingpumps.com It`s the Sentry 5 model. Very simple and reliable. $239 if you go through Reef Central sponsor link. They also sell on Ebay.

glad to hear you are getting your ca reactor. mrc makes great ca reactors.. ust wantc your tanks ph for the first ew days. that it does not get to low.. i also use a mrc ca reactor. and use kalk as my top off works great.. good luck with the new toy
