best way for a sump/refug setup?

i want to see a debate for the best way a sump /refug is set up i,ve seen many differnt set ups some sumps with plants and light while others have just live rocks ? post pics of ur setup pls so i can see how u guys have ur systmes running thanks -=)

That how mine is setup but I don't have a bubble trap by the return pump. In have the skimmer in the first part and the refug in the middle. I do have a large return area so I don't have to top off as much.

here's an alternative idea.

if you want a refugium in the sump then why not try to place the sump above the tank? that way the sump is gravity fed back into the tank, and all that precious life you are growing in the refugium can gently float into the display tank without having to make it through a cuisinart.

but my set up of my tank is bottom only i drilled my holes on the bottom of the tank its currently runnin a wet/dry and up top refug is kinda funky i want it underneath so i can hide all the hidious things -=) lol
