It might only color up with growth. For example, the color you acquired may be brown, but when it grows, it will be bright purple and green (for example a. nana does this a lot) on the growth area only.

I would guess 2-4 weeks otherwise, at that point you should see some growth and can see if it is the first option or the second.

Sounds good to me. A months gonna go by in no time. Thanks for the words guys. Hmmm been a week already. I'll check out how the new growth is when everything settles in.

I've also kicked up my husbandry(Proud of self ) Took out about 2 lbs of my sand to take it down to like .5 inches everywhere...didnt have that much to start with. Siphoned my sump clean, behind the rocks adding a powerhead so nothing settles and everything else is high flow...nothing settles anywhere but behind that one rock...argghhh

there are a few things that will allow your corals to color up
1st phosphates are a big factor
2nd Light
3rd Flow
4th weekly WC will replenish all the other elements that alot of people fprget
5th Magnessium
There are alot of additives that you can use to help out also

Thanks Nick....
For lighting I have 2 250 14K Hamiltons over a 65 and a 95watt URI superactinic
Flow Mag7 for return, seio 1500, modded MJ1200, another powerhead at 311gph, and a HOB for carbon at something like 200gph(through a nozzle).
Water changes are back on track(10g a week)
Mg for some reason the salifert kit was telling me I have none, guess its cause its so old. The purple color never changes. :banghead:

Gonna test for phosphate now and hope it works. =\
