I'm not 100% on the tank raised ones but last I checked the wild ones were controlled. You need to be a public aquarium/research facility to even get them. They have been bred successfully more and more, so I have no idea about the legality of the offspring. Charles Delbeek spoke at MACNA 3 yrs ago in Houston about how they had bred them a few times at the Waikiki aquarium and I'm pretty sure they had given some of the offspring to other facilities. I don't know that I would just go off and report them without verifying the laws surrounding them to be sure.

Leave them in the ocean. They are gorgeous creatures.

They are fascinating creatures. My daughter was so fascinated by them at Sea World when we were in orlando.
