ive had my lion for about 6 months now...raised him since he was only about 2-3 inches big...he was always a healthy and greedy eater...lately hes been acting kinda lazy not swimming too much and i realized that he was breathing kinda hard....today his color seems to darken up a bit....i also realized that it seemed like he was excreting some sort of slime or shedding skin? i have no clue...but any good suggestions in helping him recoiperate?

I would leave the water the way it is ,If everything reads good ,and you did one already then i wouldnt ,give the fish a a few more days .dont forget to keep an eye on it ,if it seem worst . QT the fish to be on the safe side

buy him live food. go to ur lfs and pick up some feeder goldfish or gubbies. see if that gets his attention :)

thats how i feed mine
that how i lost mine :irked:
bought a sick live gold fish .and that was the end of my lion.you have to watch what you buy as far as live gold fish .Most LFS take really bad care of those tanks

Also you may want to check it's mouth as it may have something stuck in it and that maybe causing the problem. This happen quite abit with Lion fish.
How do you get it out if tht happens

Take the fish out and use a pair of tweezers and remove it. Either wear gloves or hold the fish very carefully.
I think ill stay away from lion in my tank .
