Is there such a thing as a quiet pump out there that is rated for 160gph?
Has to be used under water.

I've tried MJ 606s, 600s already. (2 sets of each)

Any one?

The eheim hobby pumps are pretty quiet but they're alittle large in size than some of the other also try the mini-jets
Eheim Hobby Pumps

Tried the Mini J already, they are quiet but I need as powerhead.

What kind of "noise" was being created by your previous powerheads?! I can't say I've heard one that wasn't silent, unless it was just starting up.

Well most of pumps are quiet until I hook it up to the refuge.
I'm guessing that the pump has more stress on it cause it has to pump the water up, through the elbow and back down. I've tried dampening foam on the shelf that the refuge rests on, but no luck.

The pump is creating a very deep noise that actually echos a bit if I close the door on the stand.

btw - I'm getting the Seios as water movement pumps.

You want a Eheim to do that. PH are not meant to be used to pump water under pressure.
