I have a beautiful pipe organ coral I'd like to start fragging. Now that we got the MH lights (thanks Kasei) it is loving life and there is lots of new growth over empty tubes from where there were once flowers. It is growing new red tubes on top of the old dead ones. I read somewhere that they can't be fragged....I find this hard to believe - I'm resisting the urge to break one of the pieces of new growth off and try it....anyone have any experience? BB - I vaguely remember you once posting you were looking for one? Did you get a frag and how did it work out for you?

Hey missy I'd love a frag. Pipe organ looks like you could frag it like green star polyps but you can't they form a skeletal system which has to be severed by a sharp tool to break through the bone and rock. The best way IMO to grow frags would be to put small rock next to it (probably hold it there with rubberband). Let them grow over and then sever them at the weak point. Or just do the old dremel/chisel way people frag brain coral and plate coral.
