You sound utterly clueless. How the heck is someone going to know what kind of corals they will be stocking? Do corals grow on trees? You are the mercy of your suppliers. You order 3 brain corals and you get two hammers and a plate. It is cutomers like you that piss off retail people and MAKE then rude.Originally posted by yessongs:
I stopped in Saturday, he asked "can i help you" i said im looking at the moment, Then i asked about the filtration he mumbled something. Then i asked what he plans were on stocking corals, sarcastically he replied i don't know, i said you dont know? he replied sarcastically whatever they have.
Pat, IMO your rude, im in the process of setting up another tank, a 90 gal, and was going to leave a deposit on a Deltec APH 525 skimmer and buy the tank there. the skimmers are reasonably priced.
The pumps were highly overpriced, along with other items. The only time i will spend money there is during his going out of business sale. I think www.fishtankmaintenance.com/ on 33st in NYC is much better. This is JMO.
Pat, Im glad to see some people are happy with you.
like i said when i walked out Good Luck!
So he going to pay more for his corals, yeah so. But on the flip side he get to cherry pick on corals, which he should be able to charge more for. Also he could fine rare corals and have the wholesaler looking out for stuff for him. As for "STILL not knowing what kind of corals he getting" he actually going to the wholesaler and picking them himselves. If at that point he doesn't know why he getting then he should be in business. And yes he will be at the mercess of the wholesaler but there are more then one wholesaler in the area and he could still import something directly.Originally posted by zenfish:
and if he goes to a wholesaler then you'll be paying a hell of a lot more for your corals. and he STILL won't know what kind of corals he could be getting.
